Used cooking oil is a byproduct generated by households, restaurants, and food processing industries. Unmitigated disposal of used cooking oil has detrimental effects on the environment and human health. Repurposing used cooking oil not only prevents these negative impacts but also provides an opportunity to create a valuable resource for biodiesel production aimed towards a sustainable future.
Palm oil mill effluent is the voluminous liquid waste that comes from the sterilization and clarification processes in milling oil palm. The raw effluent contains 90-95% water and includes residual oil, soil particles and suspended solids. Uncontrolled exposure of POME into the environment leads to environmental damage. POME is an important precursor to production of methyl esters.
Palm acid oil (PAO) is a by-product obtained from the alkaline refining of palm oil, predominantly can be used as a feedstock for production of alternate transportation fuels.
(UCOME) refers to a biodiesel fuel derived from recycled cooking oils, predominantly sourced from restaurants, households, and food processing industries. It is scientifically backed as an excellent transportation fuels for diesel automobiles, revolutionizing fuel consumption patterns.
POME-ME is strictly derived from dehumidified POME which can be used as a fuel or a fuel blend in diesel automotive engines.
Biodiesel Residue, is one of the by-products from biodiesel production process. It has a a high calorific value owing to which it is an important feedstock for combustion. Repurposing waste and by-products for potent use as feedstock or blends aligns with the vision of Renewlium aiming towards sustainable and circular economy.
